Celebrating 250 Chapters of America

Monday 1/26 - KICK OFF!  Create a bookmark that shows the spirit of reading and America's 250 year journey.  Be bold, be creative, and put your best effort into it.  The top bookmarks from each school will be selected to compete in the district-wide bookmark contest!

Tuesday 1/27 - Reader's Oath Signing.  We Pledge Allegiance to READ.  Read about historical figures who crafted America's founding documents.

Wednesday 1/28 - Local Legends:  Reading our Pasco Story.  Explore the history of our school or town.  Create a timeline that includes when the school or town was first founded, and any community events and traditions (like Chasco Fiesta)

Thursday 1/29 - Theme: In My Semiquincentennial Era!  Choose a decade from America's 250 year history and bring it to life!  DRESS UP or wear a T-shirt that represents your chosen era.  Students can create a poster that highlights events from the decade of choice.

Friday 1/30 - SPIRIT DAY - WEAR SCHOOL COLORS RED/WHITE/BLUE.  Students can create a “Top 10 Things to Know About Our School” or create a timeline of events from the school year.
